About the role:
The primary purpose of this role is to focus on optimising supply chain performance, improving data visibility, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and components. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making across these high-profile projects.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
Analyse supply chain data specific to the Boxer and Bridges projects to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Actively manage multiple planning performance metrics to drive a sustainable and effective supply chain that fulfils production build requirements.
Develop and maintain project-specific KPI dashboards to monitor performance, lead times, inventory levels, and supplier reliability.
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and contractual obligations.
Support demand planning and forecasting activities using historical data, project schedules, and supplier input.
Monitor and report on supplier performance, including delivery accuracy, quality issues, and responsiveness.
Assist in the implementation and enhancement of SAP tools and processes to improve data accuracy and reporting.
Contribute to process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and project managers to support decision-making and governance.
Ensure compliance with defence industry standards, export controls, and KNDS policies.
What we’re looking for:
Candidates must have the following essential qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
Extensive experience in supply chain analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or defence environment.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, SAP, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a project-driven environment.
Displays the flexibility and resilience required to manage change and maintain performance.
Highly effective at managing time and prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment.
The following are desirable:
Familiarity with defence procurement and project management principles is an advantage.
Experience supporting complex engineering or defence programmes.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Understanding of MoD requirements and defence logistics frameworks.
