About the role:
The role holder will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in executing the Project Management Plan on behalf of the KNDS Programmes & Commercial Director. The Project Coordinator will be required to support the Project Manager in providing governance to the project’s time, cost and quality by expediting project objectives to achieve successful project delivery.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
Understand the project’s key deliverables, milestones and objectives.
Support the communication and allocation of project work packages.
Maintain the master schedule ensuring project objectives and key milestones are defined, monitored and performance against them reported.
Where required, assist in the development of recovery schedules and contingency plans to meet changed objectives as necessary.
Support the maintenance of the project’s risk register.
Assist and liaise with project subcontractors ensuring timely delivery of subcontract activity.
Assist in the preparation of performance reports including variance against plan and forecast outcomes.
Support and expedite the delivery of parts to the production areas.
Help identify key resource requirements and monitor that these are accurately accommodated
Support project planning meetings with all functional stakeholders and collate project status reports.
What we’re looking for:
Candidates must have the following essential qualifications and experience:
Previous experience in an industrial or commercial role.
Good IT skills and knowledge of MS programs particularly Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
Good written and verbal communication
Ability to travel if required around the UK and to Germany
Full UK driving licence
The following are desirable:
Experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
Previous experience in Project Manager execution
SAP experience
