About the role:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the final assembly processes in all areas of the business. The main purpose being to ensure a smooth production process of Boxer AIT vehicles including full prep, mask and painting of Boxer vehicle. You will be painting individual parts, ‘vehicle complete’, supporting finished vehicle inspection & completing in process paint touch-ups.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
· Undertake Painting of various components on the Boxer Military vehicle to ensure no interference with the Assembly Process
· Painting components and minor paint repairs, Touch Up and stencil all Components.
· Safely handling parts.
· Ensuring preservation of sensitive and high-value components during the vehicle paint processes.
· Work within the team and liaise with engineering and production departments to ensure all resources are available ahead of each painting activity.
Raising Process concerns and driving process improvements. Embracing continuous improvement principles.
· Being flexible with working shift patterns with the businesses production demands.
What we’re looking for:
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
· Experience preparing & masking HGV or military vehicles.
· Experience of delivering paint application processes in a tightly governed / quality-controlled industry (defence / aerospace / marine).
· Experience applying Polyurethane based paint materials.
· Experienced in setting up, using & cleaning down airless pump application systems.
· Knowledgeable in the setup, control & operation of vehicle spray booths.
· Experienced in completion of touch-ups on vehicles / products.
